To use the math or accounting textbooks that I sell, YOU MUST ask the instructor if you are able to use an old syllabus to do the work in the class.

DO NOT
just ask the professor if you can use an older edition, this has a low success rate.

In a study of 25 customers, 20 customers were able to use a previous edition math/accounting textbook when they asked the teacher to use an older syllabus (see tips below).

In the same study, 25 other customers asked their instructor if they could use an older edition, only one student out of 25 students was successful in being able to use the older edition.

*This study was taken in San Diego, California in the Spring Semester of 2009 in 5 different colleges (2 community colleges, 1 state school, 2 universities)

Tips:

1. Talk your professor in a heart-felt way. Illustrate that money is an "issue" and that you only have access to a previous edition textbook.

2. Emphasize that this previous edition textbook demonstrates the same concepts as in the pricey current edition.

If you need an access code, this can be bought separately from the publisher.

All of these math or accounting text books are previous edition textbooks. (e.g. if you need edition 7, you'll be getting edition 6 or 5).
